This is a very pretty bikini top and the construction is top-notch. I ordered it for my teen-aged granddaughter so I wasn't entirely sure about the style or the sizing. She is 5'8" tall and I usually buy tops and dresses for her in size 18, sometimes 20, depending on the brand and fabric. Ignoring the waist and hip measurements, the size chart seemed to indicate that she would be between a 1X and a 2X in this brand. I decided to go with the larger size just to be safe. Well, like another reviewer mentioned, I should have chosen the smaller size, as this swim top does seem to run a bit large. It fits but it is not as snug as swim-wear should be, even with the lace-up back tied so it is completely pulled together (it doesn't look as cute this way, either). The back is the only way to adjust the fit, as the straps and what looks like a tie-front (but really isn't) are both sewn in place. The straps are rather wide-set, too. I sew a bit, so I should be able to alter it to fit a little better and open up the laced back without compromising the style. The fabric and workmanship is much nicer than it is on several other swimsuits I have purchased recently (they looked rather cheap and were downright flimsy). The fabric on this suit is a good weight and is not too thin + it has plenty of stretch. The seams are well done and the top is lined. The soft cups are thin and light and are well positioned so they are not noticeable and are sewn in place so there are no pads to move around or float when in the pool. This bikini top does seem rather pricey when I consider that I need to order the bottoms, too (easily making this a $100.00 suit). I haven't ordered the matching bottoms yet (I wanted to get some idea of sizing) but it seems as if it would be easy to mix and match with bottoms in several different solid colors and I also already ordered a pair of swim shorts in aqua that I think will go nicely with this top. I'm happy to have found this brand and will definitely order more pieces from Lisa (in fact, I already did).
